Project context
The project in Vimperk expands the site's energy infrastructure with a battery system that will operate as a fast, controllable flexible resource.
The BESS will make it possible to work with power and capacity according to the current needs of the site, the energy market and the power grid. As a result, the system will not only store energy but also actively control power and provide flexibility.
Commercial and technical flexibility
The battery storage system can be used in several operating modes depending on the current needs of the energy system.
Its main functions include:
- commercial flexibility,
- technical flexibility,
- balancing services,
- fast control of charging and discharging power.
This allows the BESS to act as an active energy asset that can respond to changing operating conditions and make efficient use of the available battery power and capacity.
Balancing services
One of the main use cases will be the participation of the battery system in balancing services.
Battery technology allows power output to be changed rapidly and charging and discharging to be controlled precisely, providing a solid basis for delivering flexibility and actively participating in the power system.
Complete turnkey delivery
The project is being prepared as a comprehensive turnkey project, with the aim of handing over to the investor a fully functional battery system ready for operation.
The solution covers the battery technology, its integration into the site's energy infrastructure and the commissioning of the entire system.
