Project context
The project in Malenovice expands the site's energy infrastructure with a large-scale battery system that will operate as a fast, controllable flexible resource.
The BESS will make it possible to work with power and capacity according to the current needs of the energy market and the power grid. This means the system can be used not only for energy storage itself but also for active power control and the provision of flexibility.
Commercial and technical flexibility
The battery storage system can be used in several operating modes depending on the current market situation and the needs of the energy system.
The system is designed for:
- commercial flexibility,
- technical flexibility,
- balancing services,
- fast control of charging and discharging power.
This allows the BESS to act as an active asset that adapts to changing conditions and makes efficient use of the available battery power and capacity.
Balancing services
One of the main use cases will be the participation of the battery system in balancing services.
Battery technology is particularly well suited to this purpose thanks to its ability to respond quickly to changes in the required power and to control charging and discharging precisely.
The project therefore creates the technological basis for active participation in the power system and the provision of flexibility according to current operational needs.
Complete turnkey delivery
The project is being prepared as a comprehensive turnkey project, with the aim of handing over to the investor a fully functional battery system ready for operation.
The solution covers not only the battery technology itself but also its integration into the site's energy infrastructure and the commissioning of the entire system.
